shop hop, new things, etc

Welcome to the shop hop people and to everyone getting back into the fall knitting/crochet season. Shop hop people remember to bring a folder or envelope to put all your free pattens in. It keeps them nice and organized. Also remember 3 things: get your passport stamped, get your free pattern, enter the store raffle. It gets hectic so don't let us forget to give you what your came for. It is still possible to purchase a shop hop passport. The event runs from Sept 11-27.
You can shop at any of the stores during their regular hours as well as the shop hop hours so there is still plenty of time if you want to participate. I have one of the 3 grand prizes sitting on a chair. It has a huge pretty bow on it. I also have my store basket on display.

Sept/Oct is a lovely time to check out festivals around Canton (of course, please allow time to stop by Yarnia along your way)

The Malabar Spinning & Weaving Guild (Ohio) asked me to invite people to
their gathering. The annual celebration of “Spinners Week” and the
All-Ohio Spin-In will take place in Malabar Farm State Park in Lucas on

Spinning & Weaving Guild (Ohio) Spinners
meet at the big barn across from the “big house,” a famous landmark
where movie stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married.

I have several patterns from SWTC (southwest Trading co) that are free with the purchase of tofusties, Terra, Xie, Karaoke, bamboo or Sapphira yarns.
There is a trunk show showing the sweaters in the Terra and Tofusties yarns. I will be getting more of the sock yarn this week.

I also currently have a trunk show showing off the patterns of Chris Blysma
She uses classic elite and cascade in the items.

There is a trunk show still to come from Classic Elite. I have a sampler scarf hanging up to show off 12 yarns of their line. They have great patterns for their yarns in the web newsletter. The new pattern books for fall have been very very popular. I currently have all of them in stock.

You can see the vendors I carry by looking on the links page of my website yarniashop.com

Newest items in: Bryson 80 count sock markers,
Mountain meadows yarn (beautiful yarn from Wyoming). This was a new yarn introduced in June at the convention.
Opal sock yarn's latest collection, Rainforest 5 is in. (I can hardly wait until the Schafpate collection comes in. )
Sapphira from SWTC (washable merino at a 3.5 stitch gauge)

I have these nice loops from Harrisville designs. If you look at an earlier post I have a youtube of how to finger knit with these. Fun, clean thing to do with kids.
