Beth Brown-Reinsel newsletter

The April 2012  Beth Brown-Reinsel newsletter just arrived in my mailbox.  You can sign up for you own on her blog Knitting Traditions.
Her blog and newsletter are a great resource for the knitter who wants to explore techniques for traditional knitting.  Lots of colorwork, gansey, sweater construction etc.

Her newsletter made me realize another thing I wanted to point out.  I have noticed a lot of the yarn companies and designers starting to embrace facebook as a way to reach knitters.  She is doing a contest this month for example for people to "like" her page.  If you enjoy facebook, you might want to look for your favorites.

Back from Sabbatical

It has been a long time since I posted. After the brick and mortar store closed, I changed by website so that it was an online store. I found it was hard to keep a passion for it since I really enjoyed the actual teaching that I could do at the store.  I have decided to take down that site and I have a new website under construction.  It will mainly support the knitting/craft classes I teach since that is what I love to do.  I have taught at local schools and library, organized a workshop with Annie Modesitt, and taught at some fiber festivals in the past  18 months.
So, keep checking back and see what happens to the website.
